Is Publishing Online, Not Really Publishing?

I don't normally complain but i think this has to do with something more than just an online version of a newspaper. I think it is about a persistence in thinking that unless something is on paper, it does not 'live on' and therefore no one will be held accountable.

In other words, as a newspaper 'we are allowed to do a shit job and waste people's time on the online version'.

This seems to be the mentality of Enet.gr (AKA the online version of Eleutherotypia), which I read up until recently when I felt that I was simply wasting too much time trying to make sense of incomprehensible articles. Some of the reasons:

Articles ending with half sentences. 'Sentences' without a single verb. Information presented ambiguously to the point that you are not quite sure what the article is saying and what the actual evidence is.

Essentially, it seems that no one is paying much attention to the online version of the newspaper. Yet (half-ass) articles are constantly uploaded on the website...

To phrase the matter a la Sex and the City 'I couldn't help but wonder...

When it comes to online newspaper publishing... is 'the more the better' the only criteria by which stories get online?

PS. it would be extremely funny and ironic to have typos in this post!
